New Case for Honeywell MX7C / Tecton Mobile Computer

Posted by: Rebecca Bliss Filed under: New Case for Honeywell Mobile Computer

Honeywell recently came to System Wear and asked if we could help one of their customer's with a custom designed case for the MX7 Tecton mobile computer.

This device was being used in a warehouse environment. They wanted to be able to attach the device to their palette/ pump jacks.

Our solution was to modify a preexisting case product and to supply a mounting pad that is typically used on forklifts but could just as easily be strapped to a pump jack.

Take a look at the photos we have included that demonstrate our custom solution.

Consider a Custom Designed Carrying Case

Your company or your customer (if you are a reseller) has just made a huge investment in a mobile computer hardware system or a new phone system.

When this system was introduced was there any consideration as to how these devices would be carried and managed? Maybe there was and maybe there wasn't.

In many situations the buyer is issued a standard case that is from the manufacturer but beyond that not much thought goes into how these devices will be carried.

Often what happens is the devices will be used for awhile then issues start to arise like cases breaking, devices being lost, the users finding it uncomfortable for them to wear these devices all day...

System Wear works with businesses in every type of industry to help resolve many issues around how to manage these wireless devices that many companies use.

Reasons to consider a custom designed case:

    1. OEM cases aren’t standing up to all the wear and tear and you need something more rugged that will last longer and has a better warranty on the case.
    2. Your employees don’t find the current carrying set up comfortable for how they have to use the device and you need something more functional for the user.
    3. The device is being used outside and you have environmental issues to contend with such as cold weather or rain.
    4. Your hardware is being used in an environment where safety is a concern
    5. You require a special case that will enhance the function of the device itself

System Wear can help solve your challenges by designing a custom case just for your organization. We take into consideration comfort issues, safety issues, environmental factors, how the device needs to function, etc...

I have posted 2 custom case designs that are linked to case studies, please take a look at how System Wear was able to provide some unique solutions for these two customers:

So, our new website has been up and running now for a couple of weeks and everything seems to be working really well. To all our new visitors welcome to System Wear. For those of you who are familiar with our old site you will notice that our new one is quite different. We have updated our look and added a number of new features to enhance your online experience with us.

On the homepage you will notice that we have included 3 different ways to find what you are looking for.

1) Choose your device option

This is for people that know exactly what they are looking for.

2) Pick a manufacturer

You may know the manufacturer of the device you need a case for but not an exact model.

3) Products and Services

For those who want to look at product categories.

Some of the other new features we have added to our site to make it more user friendly are: larger pictures so our case designs can be viewed more clearly, MSRP price lists, and information about where and how to buy from us.

One of the brand new areas that we created on the site is the case studies section. Because our business focuses so much on custom design products we thought it would be helpful to demonstrate how we can assist companies solve their unique challenges when it comes to managing their mobile technology.

The other new section of the site we added is the Manufacturers list. As you may notice we have a number of manufactures listed that we do not currently make product for i.e. Intermec, Honeywell, Datalogic, Zebra.... We really want current and new customers to know that we can create a carrying case for really any product on the market when it comes to mobile and handheld computers as well as Dect and VOIP phone handsets.

System Wear understands how important this technology is to each of your businesses. Sometimes there are challenges when it comes to managing these devices, whether it's an environmental challenge like rain or cold, or maybe an issue with comfort because the device is large or heavy. We can work with you to create the best carrying solution for your customer or your employees.

Please take a look around our new site and tell us what you think. We look forward to working with you.

Welcome to System Wear’s new website and blog. My name is Rebecca Bliss. I am the Marketing Manager for the company and I will be the voice of System Wear on our Blog.

For those of you new to System Wear, we are a company that specializes in carrying cases or wearable solutions for business electronics such as IP phones, handheld computers and scanning devices.

Some of the key brands that we have ready made products for are: Cisco, Ploycom, Motorola, Itron and Blackberry, but we have the ability to design cases for any brand on the market.

Our primary focus is to create products that accomplish 2 things:

  1. Protect you investment
  2. Provide a functional product for users

First, we want to help you protect your investment. We understand that companies invest a great deal of money in technology such as phone systems and portable devices for inventory management. With our specialized material we use and our case designs we help you save money by reducing or even preventing expensive repair and replacement costs.

Secondly, we want the products to be functional for the user. What do we mean when we say functional? Well, we want whatever case of ours they are using, to fit them comfortably and provide them with the best clip or carry options that suit the way they choose or need to carry the device. In many situations if the phone or scanner case is not comfortable to wear or easy to use the technology is often misplaced or not used as efficiently as it could be.

If you have not had the opportunity to see our new site please have a look and tell us what you think. We have added some new features like case studies, pricing lists and our blog to keep you up to date on what’s new in our business and how we can better help solve your problems.

Have a great day,

Rebecca Bliss
